100km Endurance Challenge on 22nd July 2023 to raise funds to empower para-cyclists and promote inclusivity in cycling
PCFS, a ground-up volunteer organisation, is raising funds to support persons with disabilities through its cycling training and rehabilitation programmes.
As part of this effort, our paracyclists and supporters, in partnership with the Aljmal Samuel Foundation, will be doing a 100km endurance event on 22 Jul23 to demonstrate what is possible with the right support and programme.
Thanks to our supporters and generous donors, our para cyclists demonstrated resilience and sheer willpower to complete the 100km endurance challenge recently on 22 July 2023. But many did not start off this way. They were written off, or excluded from many things we take for granted. We would like to share who our members and their guardian angels are – Sebastian and Grandma Sally, Zhi Yong and mom Molly, and Joel with his caregiver Alin. Each with his/her own unique story and paracycling journey.
Your support and donation will go to:
* Training and Rehabilitation programmes for the paracyclists
* Community outreach so that PWDs can come cycle and build friendships instead of being left at home.
* Raise awareness and promote social inclusivity.
* Provide opportunities for para-cyclists to compete at national and international events, empowering them to reach their full potential.

About Us
We are a non-profit national disability sports association
The Para cycling Federation of Singapore (PCFS), formerly known as the Handcycling Association of Singapore (HAS), is a non-profit national disability sports association. It is dedicated to the development of disabled athletes by promoting para cycling as a competitive sport, as a recreational activity and as a means of rehabilitation for persons with disabilities. Para cycling is a recognised sport and medal event at the Paralympics, and is also regarded as a form of alternative physiotherapy for those suffering from permanent or other disabilities such as cerebral palsy, stroke, etc.
Our Mission
Actively promoting grassroots development and community outreach programs, to provide the disabled community with a platform for social interaction with peers through para cycling.
Our Aim
To create awareness of Para cycling as a sport that can enrich lives and help improve the overall physical and mental health of people with disabilities.
Our Story
PCFS started off as HAS, an informal group of members of the Spinal Cord Injury Support Group Singapore. They would meet on Saturday mornings to handcycle at Yio Chu Kang Stadium in early 2007…
